Bentonite Powder

We offer natural and pure Bentonite Powder mined from the finest mines in India. These are processed using the latest mining and production technologies. Thereby, our range of Bentonite Powder are attributed with various salient features and demanded in various industrial segments. This product find application as an economical bonding material to attain sturdy molding in metal casting processes. When mixed with foundry molding sands, it forms a pliable bond with the sand granules, then the molten metal is pored into the impressions, while maintaining the temperature more than 2,800 F. During these high temperatures, Bentonite Powder exerts more durability into the mold through its unique bonding characteristics. Once the process is complete, the bentonite/sand mold can be broken away from the casting face and reused.

Tableware Plaster

Tableware Plaster has a huge market in the domestic and international forum, owing to the high usability of the product in the production of a wide range of Tableware and other alike products. Our range of Tableware Plaster is specially used for the jiggering and jollying (Roller machine) processes. We manufacture these products using both alpha and beta plasters by adapting the perfect ratio of alpha/beta. This executes proper strength required in jiggering and jollying processes used at manufacturing of Bone China and Porcelain. Besides, we have proper infrastructural facilities to control the pore size distribution in molds, which enhances homogenous absorption capacity of the plaster. Consequently our range of plasters yield right permeability.

Used in the production of rigid and strong items, Tableware Plaster are required to be of finest quality with greater withstanding capacity. Hence, we use best whitest and purest gypsum to manufacture these products. Other benefiting features of our range of products are as follows:

  • Subjected to 20 magnetic separators, our range of products are completely free from harmful impurities (iron, hard particles), presence of which tend to undermine the strength of the gypsum.
  • Execute the perfect and consistent setting time. Also, it gets easily de-molded quickly.
  • Manufactured as per the norms and guidelines of ISO 9001guidelines.
  • Delivers optimum casting performance during plaster mixing procedures like hand mixing, conventional mixer, mason flow machine, etc.
  •

Process of preparing plaster of pairs from Gypsum

Plaster of pairs is obtained from the calcination of Gypsum. In preparation of Plaster, proper selection of Gypsum, its preparation and classification is very important. Thereafter, several process to available to calcine gypsum into Plaster of Paris. The two most preferred techniques are:

  • 1st: Calcination under atmospheric pressure to produce Beta plaster

  • 2nd: Calcination under elevated pressure to produce Alpha plaster.

The involved chemical reaction is as follows:

(CaSO4, 2 H2O) + heat = (CaSO4,½ H2O) + 1.5 H2O

However, in either of the process, controlling certain critical calcination parameters is very important to yield quality plaster crystals. The size and shape of clusters determines the performance of the plaster. There after the crystal of plasters are ground, using different grinding process; here the main motive is to obtain uniform sized particles of the product. Finally, the plaster powder is mixed with additives and fillers, which adds the rheological characteristics like setting times, fluidity, hardening kinetics, permeability, mechanical strengths, resistance to abrasion, etc.

Dental Stone Plaster

Field of Dentistry is in need of high quality Dental Stone Plaster for mounting casts or models of oral tissues. Our range of Dental Stone Plaster is a stronger, harder and denser derivative of plaster, manufactured from finest quality gypsum under pressure. Compared to Dental plaster, Dental stone is more refined in terms of quality and more expensive to produce. These are used in restricted circumstances where greater strength and surface hardness is required. Our range of Dental Stone Plasters conform to International Standard ISO 6873:1998 standards. We provide these in the following types:

  • Type 1. Impression plaster (White)
  • Type 2. Plaster (Yellow)
  • Type 3. Dental stone (Yellow & Green)
  • Type 4. Die Stone Plaster (Pink)
  • Type 5. Dental stone, high-strength, high-expansion

Composition Specifications

We manufacture these products using partially dehydrated gypsum. Our ange of range of Dental stones are made of Hemihydrates with more regular crystals. Hemihydrate crystals are more regular in nature and is obtained by adding gypsum to boiling CaCl2 solution. Other specifications of the product are as follows:

Well Drilling

Drilling mud or drilling gel, is a major component in the well drilling process. Drilling mud is crucial in the extraction of drill cuttings during the drilling process. Bentonite, when mixed with water, forms a fluid (or slurry) that is pumped through the drill stem, and out through the drill bit. The bentonite extracts the drill cuttings from around the bit, which are then floated to the surface. The drilling mud, or gel, also serves to cool and lubricate the drill bit as well as seal the drill hole against seepage and to prevent wall cave-ins.

Taconite Pelleting

We offer Taconite Pelleting. Taconite, a low grade iron ore, has been developed as an economic source for iron. During processing, the taconite is ground into a very fine powder. The ground taconite is then mixed with small amounts of bentonite which serves as a binder to the taconite. This mixture is processed into balls or pellets. The process is finished when these pellets are sintered in rotary kilns that give the pellets a hard surface. The taconite pellets are easy to handle at this point and can be loaded into various containers for shipment to steel mills.

 Cat Litter

In recent years, bentonite has become a major component in the manufacturing of cat litter. Because of the unique water absorption, swelling, and odor controlling characteristics of bentonite, it is ideal for use in "clumping" types of cat litters.Clumping cat litter has become widely accepted as an economical alternative to conventional non-clumping type cat litters. Because bentonite forms clumps when wet, the clumps can easily be removed and disposed of. The remainder of the unused material stays intact and can continue to be used. Clumping cat box litters will last longer with less frequency of changing.

Animal & Poultry Feeds

For many years bentonite has been used as a binder in the feed pelletizing industry. Small amounts of bentonite can be added to feed products to insure tougher, more durable pellets. By absorbing excess moisture and oils, bentonite aids in the free movement of pellets, preventing lumping and caking. Research has been conducted which indicates that bentonite has additional benefits for both animals and poultry. The bentonite used in the feed slows the digestive system and enables the animal or fowl to better utilize the feed nutrients. Other studies have shown bentonite as a useful ingredient in the control of certain toxins which affect animals and fowl.
